A little about me.....

My name is Stacy Starman and I am an 8th grade science teacher at Broadmoor Junior High School.  I have been a teacher since 1997, making this my twenty-seventh year as an educator.  I was a teacher's assistant for 2 years for District 108 before becoming a sixth-grade teacher for 23 years at Parkview Middle School in Creve Coeur, IL.  I have always wanted to teach for my hometown district and am really excited to be here!
My education started in Pekin, Illinois for both grade and high school.  I moved on to Illinois Central College and Illinois State University for my Associates and Bachelor's Degrees in Education, which I acquired in 1997.  While teaching at Parkview, I had the opportunity to earn my Master's in Teaching and Leadership from Saint Xavier University in 2002.  I received my second Master's Degree in Educational Technology from Concordia University - Chicago in December 2017.
I am an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan.  I live and breathe Snoopy (and the Peanuts Gang).  I also have a love of the Minions and Baby Yoda (Grogu).  Travelling is a hobby of mine, as well as reading, diamond painting, spending time with family, and eating good food.

If I can answer any questions, please let me know!  Please be sure to include your student's name in the message.  I will return your message as soon as possible.  My school hours are 7:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

Thanks for visiting!
